Web Design Process
Brief / Quote
The first part of the process is a conversation that allows us to get the the brief information we need to quote on your project. From this we will gain an understanding on what the website is about, user and visitor goals, technical specifications, content requirements, project timescales and budget.
Research / Planning
Moving on to a conversation which will be largely based on examples provided by yourself of websites that you like and dislike, this will allow our designer to research and create the initial website concept. We will also help you definine the website structure and discuss the different page types required and plan all deliverables.
Web Design
On to the fun part! Our designer will walk you through the design process that uses the information gained and will present the initial concept, once we have received your feedback we we’ll go through design iterations tweaking and altering the design until a successful design has been decided upon. Whilst doing the UI (User Interface) design we will also structure your content as part of the UX (User Experience) to ensure the user has an engaging experience and user journey whilst meeting objectives and usability.
Web Development
We program the website by converting the designs into reality and Implement any required functional and social media features. Should it be required we might connect a CMS (Content Management System) which will allow you to manage selected content. We enter your content and optimise and perform functionality and browser testing. Our lightweight responsive websites are tailored to perform consistently across all platforms. We also include on page SEO as the first step in achieving search engine ranking. Once the demo is ready we will provided you with a link to view.
Pre Launch / Launch
Now the website is developed we now move onto the pre-lunch stage where we go over our checklist and do final testing of the website features, we setup Google Search Console adding your sitemap and should it be required set up Google Analytics to track and measure performance along with adding a Cookies Consent feature to be compliant with GDPR. Once you are happy with the site and provide the final sign off we move onto the launch transferring your website to the live server and finalise our tests.
Maintenance
Now your new website has launched we are on hand to iron out any little bugs that may have appeared. We can offer ongoing support on
ad hoc basis or we can provide a support package which can include allocated development hours for content updates & small fixes.
